If you are wondering how an image with a higher score is not in the First, Second, Third Placing, it is because when judging, all images are "impact" scored by each panel judge separately in the first pass. Once the scores are averaged, the top 6-8 come back before the judges for a considered judging and discussion of the merits of the image. The First, Second, Third Placings are then made from those 6-8.
