ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2020: 10AM 17 May 2020
This year the Annual General Meeting will be conducted using the program ZOOM. You must register to attend so that the invitation can be emailed to you. It is a simple process on the day. There are no programs or apps that need to be downloaded to attend. The invitation has a website hyperlink. Click on the link and you will be taken to a "waiting room" until you are added to the meeting.
Bookings: Please email Fran, Website Administrator, to register to attend [email protected]. If you have never been to a Zoom Meeting before, she is happy to run a practise meeting. Please ask for an invitation to the practise meeting on Saturday 16 May at 3pm so you can have a play with the buttons without disrupting the AGM.
Some instructions for operating Zoom. We are not sure how many people will choose to attend, but the PSQ subscription is limited to 100 connections. As there are about 50 Clubs and about 50 Judges, places may be limited if more than one person from each club attends. You may be asked to double up with one or more of your club members if we are oversubscribed. We won't know that until all of the requests are in. The deadline for requesting attendance at the AGM is midday on 16 May 2020.
When you are admitted into the group, please click on your mute button so that any background noise in your location does not feed back into the meeting. The 'host' can also mute any participant. Look for the microphone symbol in the lower left side of your own image. If it is red, you are muted. You may also choose to attend without a camera. If so, you must have your registered name on your connection for voting purposes.
You can attend by computer or mobile phone. Mobile phones have a very small screen, so you will not see as well as you would on a computer. There will be opportunities after each report for questions, if you wish.
Voting: All current positions on the Committee are declared vacant for the election of the 2020-2021 Committee, Voting will be required for selection of representatives where there are more than one nomination for any office - President, Secretary, Treasurer or if there are more than four nominations for General Members. There is a voting process using Zoom organised for this meeting. Proxies must be lodged with the Secretary before commencement of the meeting.
As required, attendance records will be kept for the meeting. A audio recording is also to be made.
Please log into the meeting between 9.30 and 9.45AM in case you have any technical difficulties. The meeting will commence at 10.00AM. Late arrivals can be admitted, but we will not be able to help if you have trouble seeing or hearing what is going on once the meeting starts.
