| Phillipa
became interested in photography when
she retired from Early Childhood Teaching and after completing an
Associate Diploma in Visual Arts in Brisbane. The Digital side of
photography particularly interested her because she could create art
works by combining images. She belongs to the Electronic and
Contemporary Divisions of APS and also to one of the digital groups of
the Photographic Society of America. She has been on the committee of
the Gold Coast Photographic Society for most of her time there and
served 2 years on the committee of APS and around 5 years on the
committee of the Gold Coast Show Society Visual Arts Committee. She
enjoys travelling to clubs for judging, staying overnight and exploring
the state at the same time. She has done quite a few judgings via email,
the web and CD. |
