Judge's Details

I was given a Box Brownie when I was 8 years old and graduated to a Nikkormat with old Nikkor lenses given to me by my father-in-law in 1966. I worked as a Registered Nurse to fund my passion, photography.Travelling gave me the opportunity to take different types of photos, both in Australia and OS. The subtle light of Northern Europe with its ancient historical buildings is a joy to capture. I also love the challenge of the very harsh light of Australia . I enjoy maritime, mountain and bushland scenes, and I find architecture inspires my creative spirit. I shot slides most of the time and loved darkroom work, printing on Cibachrome.
I was a member of the Canberra Photographic Society from 1984 until 1998. I rejoined in 2000 until 2004 when we moved to Hervey Bay . I learnt much from those many erudite, experienced photographers and I sincerely thank them.I joined The Hervey Bay Photographic Club in 2005. I love judging as I really enjoy seeing other folk’s images.
